INTRODUCTION
Jake's Legacy, River's Future
Thank you for your interest in Golf for Jake & River. This day is for Jake, and for River, to help build the future he’d have wanted for her. We intend on making it a day to remember, it would be great if you can join in the fun.
ABOUT THE FUND
When a child loses a parent, they lose far more than someone they love. A parent is the quiet architect of a child’s future, providing the guidance, stability and opportunities that let them grow into who they’re meant to become.
Jake understood this better than most. He was determined that River would have a private education, and cared just as much about the small things, like making music and art together.
This fund exists to support River through her bereavement and secure the future Jake always wanted for her. In time, our ambition is to grow this into a registered charity that can offer the same care to other children who’ve lost a parent too soon.
THE COURSE AND VENUE
Abridge Golf & Country Club
Abridge Golf & Country Club is one of the finest courses in Essex, set across 240 acres of gently undulating parkland just a short drive from London. Shielded from the nearby M25, the club sits in a peaceful area of natural beauty and offers a modern clubhouse and terrace with panoramic views over the Essex countryside.
Designed by Henry Cotton in 1962, the course is an 18 hole, par 72 championship layout measuring 6,704 yards, with 36 bunkers and a number of elevation changes making for a fun and testing round. Abridge regularly hosts Open Championship Regional Qualifying and some of the country’s major amateur tournaments. From the moment you arrive, you’ll know it will be a day to remember.

Christmas Presents for Children in Need
This Christmas Vorto raised over £6k which allowed us to buy, wrap and deliver over 100 presents to orphanages, care homes, GOSH and underprivileged kids in the local area.
Each child received a hand delivered toy bundle which was age and gender specific. We worked closely with each organisation to ensure we knew what was needed most. One care home had 11 children and they all wanted a new pair of Nike Air Force 1’s!
This really did light up children’s lives this Christmas and so we intend on making this an annual fundraiser.
