ABOUT LAUREUS
Laureus Sport for Good currently supports more than 275 programmes in over 50 countries that use the power of sport to transform lives.
Founded in response to Nelson Mandela’s challenge, issued at the first Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco in 2000, that “sport has the power to change the world”, our vision is to use sport as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children and young people overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives.
Over the last 20 years, Laureus Sport for Good has raised more than €150m for the Sport for Development sector and, together with our partners, reached and helped change the lives of almost 6m children and young people.
THE COURSE AND VENUE
The International @ London Golf Club
London Golf Club prides itself on being one of the best venues at which to host a golf event. Every need is catered for and no detail is missed. As part of the prestigious European Tour Destinations network, LGC provides the finest care and attention both on and off the course. Conveniently located just off the M25 and M20, it’s easily accessible from London and only 12 miles from Canary Wharf.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, The International is pure downland. The course is naturally firmer and the quick undulating fairways force a links-style approach, while short holes over the water provide dramatic respite. Host to the 2018 and 2019 Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, and hosted both the Volvo World Match Play Championship and Regional Open Qualifying, this course proves a tough test for the most talented of golfers whilst providing some great opportunities on our risk-reward holes to shoot some great scores. From the moment you enter and drive the mile-long road to the clubhouse, you know it will be a day to remember

Practice Range
London Golf Club has a fantastic 330-yard turf practice ground with tees at either end. This setup allows for professional tuition at one end leaving the other end free for practice. There are additional covered bays for use in adverse weather, and all players have unlimited use of Callaway practice balls.
Practice Greens
There are two practice greens with grasses matching those of both courses, two practice bunkers, one of which is a fairway bunker to practice those long bunker shots, plus a chipping green. London Golf Club uses a combination of grasses for the practice greens which are kept in as pristine condition as the other 36 holes ensuring players get a touch of the real thing before play commences.

Christmas Presents for Children in Need
This Christmas Vorto raised over £6k which allowed us to buy, wrap and deliver over 100 presents to orphanages, care homes, GOSH and underprivileged kids in the local area.
Each child received a hand delivered toy bundle which was age and gender specific. We worked closely with each organisation to ensure we knew what was needed most. One care home had 11 children and they all wanted a new pair of Nike Air Force 1’s!
This really did light up children’s lives this Christmas and so we intend on making this an annual fundraiser.
